REPORT ON TSION ACADEMY’S GRADUATION & PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY

Date: 25th July 2025

Venue: Tsion Academy, Iloro

The Graduation and Prize Giving Ceremony of Tsion Academy was held on Friday, 25th July 2025 at the school premises in Iloro. The event was graced by students, parents, staff, and invited guests, all gathered to celebrate the achievements of the academic year.

The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer led by the Mother of the Day, Mrs. Aladesanmi, followed by a lively praise and worship session conducted by Miss Pelumi. A warm welcome address was delivered by the Head Teacher, who appreciated all present and encouraged the students to remain committed to academic excellence.

The Nursery Class delighted the audience with a cheerful Welcoming Song, drawing smiles and enthusiastic applause. The graduating students were then formally presented by the MC and their class teachers. Selected graduates gave heartfelt speeches underscoring the importance of education, especially in low-income communities like theirs. They highlighted the doors that education opens and its power to transform lives.

The programme featured performances from Primary 1 and Primary 2, who entertained guests with vibrant choreographies, followed by a moving Farewell Song by Primary 3, evoking deep emotions from the audience.

A cultural segment brought rich traditional flavor to the day, with students performing Ewi (poetic recitation), Oriki & Owe (praise poetry and proverbs), culminating in a spirited Cultural Dance by the Cultural Troupe — celebrating the beauty of indigenous heritage, language, and rhythm.

Before the awards segment, Mrs. Aladesanmi shared a heartfelt message of encouragement and prayer for the graduating students. Her words were filled with love, wisdom, and hope for the future. The school took this opportunity to publicly recognize her consistent involvement and dedication to the school community — a key reason she was honored as Mother of the Day.

The Prize and Awards Ceremony followed, with dignitaries at the high table presenting gifts to outstanding students. This segment brought excitement and applause, as students were celebrated for their academic performance, character, and leadership.

In closing, the Proprietress, Abayomi Adeola Della, gave a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing deep appreciation to everyone who contributed to the planning and success of the event. A closing prayer by the Special Guest officially concluded the day’s program.

Overall, the ceremony was a resounding success — beautifully organized, inspiring, and filled with pride. It marked a memorable chapter in the lives of the graduates and reaffirmed Tsion Academy’s commitment to excellence, community, and purpose-driven education.
