So this World Teachers’ Day, we at Tsion Academy pause to reflect, celebrate, and honour teachers across the world, and our very own in particular for the extraordinary work they do in transforming the lives of our students. We are giving them their flowers today.
Why Teachers Matter More than We Realise
Think about this: a child spends an average of 5–8 hours daily with a teacher in school. That adds up to thousands of hours every year under the direct influence of a teacher. These hours shape not just academic performance, but also values, confidence, creativity, and life aspirations.
Unfortunately, in our world today, the significance of teachers is often undermined. They are expected to give their best while receiving little recognition, minimal resources, and, at times, inadequate support. And yet, many continue to serve with patience, intentionality, and love because they believe in the futures they are shaping.
